Joey is a Florida native from New Smyrna Beach, FL and currently in his 4th season as head baseball coach at Greenville High School. Joey played collegiality at Seminole Community College, Sanford FL for two seasons and then Embry Riddle Aeronautical University, Daytona Beach, FL. Golinski was starting shortstop on the 1st Conference Championship team in 1995. He still holds the school record for most hits in a game (6).
Joey started Ormond Beach Golden Spikes travel ball organization in 1998 and won several AAU/USSSA state titles in 4 seasons. In 2001, Golinski was named to the coaching staff at Seabreeze High and played for the FHSAA State Championship in 4A and finished runner-up. In 2004, Joey was named head baseball coach at Spruce Creek High School in Port Orange, FL. He spent 4 seasons at Spruce Creek from 2004-2008. From 2008-2011, Golinski served as Athletic Director and Assistant Baseball Coach at Seabreeze High School in Daytona Beach, FL. Joey was a BP thrower for the Daytona Cubs, Single A Team in the Florida State League from 2006-2011. He was incited to throw BP at Wrigley Field in 2009 and Spring Training in 2010. Golinski has coached over 100 players that played professional baseball. Most notably, New York Mets RHP Jacob DeGrom. Joey resides in Taylor, SC with his wife Amy and two children, Braden and Blair. |
