A new arrival in Greenville, SC, Bill as over 40 years of experience coaching baseball at the collegiate and professional levels. Bill recently retired from Major League Baseball where he spent the last five years as Manager of Baseball Operations at Major League Baseball's Development Centers in China. He was responsible for all baseball related activities from hiring MLB coaches to developing and overseeing the implementation of baseball curriculum for all the centers to serving as Head Coach of the Nanjing Select Center. He also was responsible for scouting, recruiting, evaluating and writing reports on new and existing players which were then made available to all 30 MLB clubs. Moreover, Bill organized and ran bi-annual MLB scout showcases to feature regional talent for the 30 MLB teams. Bill has specialized in hitting, infield, outfield and base running in his 40 plus years of coaching. He began his coaching career in his native state of California at the community college level before joining the coaching staff at NCAA Cal Poly Pomona. Later, he was hired at Major League Baseball full time. Bill also has international experience through his 17 years of baseball development experience throughout Asia for MLB. Bill was instrumental in developing and serving as head hitting instructor alongside established MLB players for MLB's Elite Camp in Taiwan, showcasing 60 of the region's top young players and one of only five throughout the globe. Bill has also served as Team China National Team 14u Head Coach, and hitting and infield coach for Team Philippines in World Baseball Classic. Bill has received numerous coaching awards during his career. Bill holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Pepperdine University, Malibu, California as well as a Master's Degree in Special education from National University, San Diego, California.
